Cheers, i shall look into crochet, OH has a van that needs new engine etc so he's got something to keep him busy in the evening so i need a good project

so, most of you probably saw it on fb, but this is my star garland... 
it was a gift to my friend who came out to visit me. i miss it so and will have to make myself one post-haste. other stuff i want to finish before xmas: - at least ONE granny square stocking (i've got the top done already). i'd like to make 3. - finish my afghan. i really haven't been working on it lately. - another star garland - embroider a "tattoo" onto the sleeve of a shirt (xmas gift for the hubs, straight outta the new jenny hart book). - fingerless gloves. they've been spoiling my mood for months! Nah, I haven't finished. I had a horrible nightmare that Frankenstein's monster [who was like the regular monster, but part zombie] lived in my
basement and ate my boy's flesh and he died so I've had a really hard time going back in my basement.
I hate that damn basement. That star garland is absolutely adorable and neat! WU

so close to being done with my stocking.

the flower square thing? yeah. basically, the book i got is a bunch of patterns for squares, circles, hexagons, and triangles that have ridiculous details.

multi-layered stencils? i know of it, but i never tried it. i'm sure you can find a tutorial or two onine. i found the cutest cussin' owl bib pattern
on the lion bran website (it's full of free patterns). it looks SUPER easy; i'm going to make one. i've been following some patterns from a book i
got for christmas, and i've found it's a really good way to learn how to do more and challenge myself (especially since i can't help but want to
wing it half the time). i''m super excited. if it works out well, it's totally going to be what i make every person i know who has a baby.
